Answer: I believe that some of the rites of passage that Latifa confronted were the day that a white flag of the Taliban was flown and she goes to the town’s square to see the mutilated body of a former president. Also the inhumanities that she had to go through thanks to the Taliban. Women were banned from working, from schools, and from public life. All of this events had a great impact in the way she thinks today. She wishes for nothing but prosperity and unity for her country.
