set each to zero
because
if yx=0, assume that x and y=0

so
(x+3)(x-2)=0
x+3=0
minus 3
x=-3
x-2=0
add 2
x=2

x=-3 and 2

(x+3)(x-2)=0
x+3=0 => x=-3
x-2=0 => x=2

The solution with the lowest value is x=-3.
