Milly pushes a 100 kg rock up a ramp, raising it through a height of 0.75 m.

if g = 10 N/kg, how much gravitational energy is transferred to the block?

The force applied on the rock is

100\ kg*10\ N/kg=1000\ N

The energy transferred is the force times the distance:

E=1000\ N*0.75\ m=750\ J
