Spencer had room for 16 rows of tomatoes and onions in his garden. He planted 3 rows of tomatoes for every 5 rows of onions. How many rows of tomatoes did he plant?

There are 16 rows
for every 3 tomato, there are 5 onion. That is 8 together.

8 x 2 = 16

So if there are 6 rows of tomatoes, and 10 rows of onion, that is 16 rows.

There are 6 rows of tomatoes.
