This is a simple Pythagorean theorem, which says that c2 = a2 + b2
So let us just apply it here:
c^2 = 4^2 + 4^2
c^2 = 16 + 16
c^2 = 32
c =
√32
c =
√2*16
c = 4
√2
The correct answer is
c = 4
√2.
