The area sector of a circle is

A=(\theta)/(360)(\pi r^2)

where θ = central angle

r = radius of the circle

From the problem, the area is 9 ft^2 and the central angle is 60 degrees

The radius will be :

\begin{gathered} 9=(60)/(360)(\pi r^2) \\ 9(360)=60\pi r^2 \\ (9(360))/(60\pi)=r^2 \\ r=\sqrt[]{(9(360))/(60\pi)} \\ r=4.146 \end{gathered}

The answer rounded to the nearest tenth is 4.1 ft
