where t= total price jose paid for the shirt
c= cost of the shirt
B= sales tax (percent)
Jose wants to find the cost of sales tax. Rewrite the formula to solve for the percent sales tax

In order to rewrite it we can use the next procedure:

t=c+cb
t - c = cb
(t - c)/c = b

And there you have the formula done
