Your town is considering building a biodiesel power plant. Describe at least two advantages and two disadvantages of this project. Based on these factors would you recommend that they continue with the project or consider other options?

The first advantage of using a biodiesel power plant is the price. The price of biofuels is constantly decreasing and has a tendency to be considerably cheaper than gasoline and other fossil fuels. Second, the advantage is that it reduces the use of fossil fuels for heating, for the production of electricity, for industrial and agricultural use, which reduces the emissions of gases and the greenhouse effect, reduces global warming. Third, biomass is always available where it is, and can be produced as a renewable resource, and often produces cleaner emissions from fossil fuels.

The disadvantages of using a biodiesel power plant are their availability. In certain parts of the world, they are available, but in others they are not, and the raising of such biodiesel power plants and their maintenance would be very expensive. Second, fertilizers, water and land needed to produce enough biofuels would lead to large-scale pollution, as well as to reducing food access.

According to the current hunger problem in the world, the amount of environmental pollution, the profit race with the use of new technologies such as this, I think I wouldn't recommend that they continue with the project.

The only advantages that I can see here is that there could be 1. Power availability and 2. Employment. But actualy this option contaminates a lot the land, so there would be more disadvantagrs than advantages. Still i hope this two advantages had helped you
