why does mollie hide a pile of lump sugar and ribbons under the straw in her stall?

Mollie knows that everyone else would take it away from her. She just wants the pile of sugar to herself as a memory of her good time with Mr.Jones. And she knows that the animals will not spoil her like the humans would.
