A force of 45 N is exerted on an object, resulting in an acceleration of 5 m/s2 for the object. What will the object's acceleration be if the force doubles?

Newton's 2nd law of motion:

Force = (mass) x (acceleration) .

Looking at that equation, you can see that if the mass doesn't change,
then the acceleration is proportional to the force.

If the force doubles, then the acceleration doubles, to 10 m/s² .
