A store spent $263.50 on 50 lb of bulk goods. What is the price per pound, in dollars, of the bulk goods?

(a) Decide which estimate, 0.05, 0.5, 5, or 50, is closest to the actual answer. Explain your reasoning.

For the first part all anyone has to do is divide $263.50 by 50 to get $5.27 per pound.  and for the second part it is 5.  My reasoning is because 5.27 is .27 away from 5 while 0.05, 0.5, and 50 are farther away from the actual cost per pound.  Hope this at least gets you started.
