Thomas Jefferson was the original author or originator of the Declaration www.loc.gov/rr/program/bib/ourdocs/DeclarInd.html
However 4 more more were participants to his ideas and agreed to the laws or rules of the Declaration. They were apart from Thomas; John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Robert R. and Roger.
