The equation given in the question is
2x^2 + 4x – 2 = 0
This equation can also be represented as
ax^2 + bx +c = 0
So
a = 2
b = 4
c = -2
Now
Discriminant = b^2 - 4ac
= (4)^2 - (4 * 2 * -2)
= 16 + 16
= 32
From the above deduction, it can be easily concluded that the correct option among all the options that are given in the question is the second option. i hope that this is the answer that has come to your desired help.
