To graph the equations given above, it would be helpful to write these equations into its slope-intercept form. It should have the form y = mx + b where b is the y-intercept that you can plot directly and from there you can use the value of the slop,m, to plot points. We write them as follows:

x – 3y = –12
-3y = -x -12
y = x/3 + 4

2x – y = 1
-y = -2x + 1
y = 2x - 1
