Liters of Oxygen : 61.6 L

Further explanation

Given

5.5 moles Na₂O

Required

Liters of Oxygen

Solution

Reaction

4Na+O₂⇒2Na₂O

mol O₂ from equation :

= 1/2 x mol Sodium oxide

= 1/2 x 5.5

= 2.75

Assume at STP(1 mol gas=22.4 L), liters O₂ :

= 2.75 x 22.4

= 61.6 L
