The lateral area of a three-dimensional solid is the area of all the lateral face. It is calculated as follows:

LA = hP
LA = h(2(w) + 2(l))
LA = 3(2(12) + 2(7))
LA = 114 m^2

The surface area is calculated as follows:

SA = LA + 2B
SA =LA + 2(w)(l)
SA = 114 + 2(12)(7)
SA = 282 m^2

Therefore, the correct answer is option A.
