A result of the Pequot War and King Philip’s War was that many Indians and colonists died.

From 1636 to 1638, the Pequot War was fought in the New England territory. The Pequot Indians fought English colonists od Saybrook, Massachusetts Bay, and Plymouth colonies. The Indians lost the battle and the results were disastrous. Almost 700 Indians died and the rest were sold as slaves.

Thirty-seven years later, King Philip’s War represented the last Indian try to remove European colonists form the territories of New England. The was started in 1675 and ended in 1676. Tribes such as Nimuck, Wampanoag, and Pocumtuck were defeated by the English colonists and suffer the same faith as in the Pequot War.
