A school soccer team has just purchased new uniforms. The team now has 2 different colors of shorts (white and red) and 3 different colors of shirts (white, red, and gold).

How many different uniform combinations are there? ...?

Basic combinations are calculated with
number of shorts * number of shirts = 2 * 3
so the answer will be 6.
