if its 5/3, how many times can 3 go into 5 ( the answer is 1) thus u have 1 whole number and the remainder which is 2 divided by 3.

Fractions that can be turned into a whole number are very easy to calculate, but turning one into a decimal is still simple. You divide the numerator by denominator for both instances.
