Is negitive 1.8 greater than negitive 2.1

(-1.8) is greater than (-2.1)

Explanation:

This is because when finding greater or than less with negatives you use what farther or closer to zero(0) For example our situation right here (-1.8) and (-2.1), -1.8 is closer to zero than (-2.1). If you were trying to find is was what was less than, than you would look at whats farther from 0(zero).

Unlike positives, with negatives, the larger a number is, the smaller it is.

Example :
4 > 2

-4 < -2

so -1.8 is GREATER then -2.1

here is a tip :
picture ur number line....plot -2.1....any number to the right is greater and any number to the left is less...and since -1.8 is to the right of -2.1, it is greater then -2.1
