I'm sure there are a number of different answers possible for this, but reasonably, if it were only a month of budget adjustment I would take $100 out of the clothing allowance because clothes really don't need to be purchased every month. Then I would Take $50.00 from the recreation budget, because that's only for pleasure. After that I would take another $50.00 from household, which may mean cutting a few corners at the store. (That's already $200.) To make the final amount I would just save $100 less that month. Combined all of that would make the $300.
Recap : - $100 clothing
- $50.00 recreation
- $50.00 household
- $100.00 savings
I hope this is the kind of answer you need that will help. It couldn't hurt to get another answer or two.
