The geometric sequence:
a 1 = 5, a 2 = 8.5, a 3 = 14.45, a 4 = 24.565,...
r = 8.5 / 5 = 1.7
a n = a 1 * r^(n-1)
a 9 = 5 * 1.7^(8) = 5 * 69.757574
a 9 = 348.7878205 ≈
348.8
