A 18,000-gallon swimming pool contains 7000 gallons of water when a hose is placed into the pool and begins adding water at a rate of 1100 gallons per hour.

Use the Segment tool to plot a graph representing the volume of water in the pool over time from when the hose is placed into the pool until it is full.

The coordinates are (0 , 7,000) and (10 , 18,000).

I took the test and i got it right. Hope this helps! :)

the problem can be presented by a simple linear equation:

y =mx + b

where is x is the time (hour)

y is the amount water in xhours

m is the rate of water being added

b is the initial amount of water

y = 1100x + 7000
