A 6 foot tall man casts a shadow that is 84 inches long. At the same time of the day, a tree next to the man casts a 38.5 foot shadow. What is the height of the tree, in feet?

if you divided 84 by 6 you will see the shadow is 1 foot taller that the mans real height. So all you have to do id subtract 38.5 by 1 and get 37.5.

Answers : 37.5
