okay so 18.9% of the total (call it x) is 28500
0.189x=28500
divide 0.189 by both sides
x=150793.65
you can't have .65 of a person so it should be around 150794 people

Answer:

The company has 150794 employees

Step-by-step explanation:

Assume that the total number of employees is x

We are given at 18.9% of the total number of employees is 28,500

Therefore:

18.9% of x = 28,500

0.189x = 28,500

x =
(28500)/(0.189) = 150793.6

Since we cannot have a fraction of an employee, therefore, we MUST round the answer.

Here, we would round up.

Therefore, the total number of employees is 150794 employees

Hope this helps :)
