3.25y=13. Isolate y by dividing both sides of the equation by 3.25. So 3.25y/3.25=13/3.25. Your answer is therefore 13/3.25, or 4

Answer:

The cost per yard of the fabric is:

$ 4 per yard

Explanation:

It is given that:

Anita bought 3 1/4 yards of fabric.

This means that the length of the fabric she bought is: 13/4 yards.

Also, the total cost of the fabric is: $ 13

This means that the cost of one yard of fabric is:

Total cost divided by the length of the fabric she bought.

i.e. cost of one yard of fabric is:

=(13)/((13)/(4))\\\\\\=\$\ 4\ per\ yard
