Use these numbers to answer the questions: –5.2, –1.4, –3.6, –0.7 (a) Is Kimberly’s statement always true, sometimes true, or always false? Write two equations to support your answer. (b) Pretend that you need to explain to a friend what happens when you divide two negative decimals.

(a) it is always true -5.2 x ( -1.4 ) =7.28 AND -1.4 x (-3.6) =5.04
(b)the rule for multiplying negatives is negative x negative = positive.
