Read this excerpt from Absalom, Absalom! by William Faulkner:

But you were not listening, because you knew it already, had learned, absorbed it already without the medium of speech somehow from having been born and living beside it, with it, as children will and do.

Is this first person, second person or third person point of view.

The excerpt from Absalom, Absalom! by William Faulkner ; " But you were not listening, because you knew it already, had learned, absorbed it already without the medium of speech somehow from having been born and living beside it, with it, as children will and do. "

Is written in SECOND PERSON point of view. Usually when a narrator writes in second person. They use the word "You" . The author is making the audience a character, implicating them. Therefore; This excerpt is in second person.
