first we r gonna find the other leg
a^2 + b^2 = c^2
32^2 + b^2 = 40^2
1024 + b^2 = 1600
b^2 = 1600 - 1024
b^2 = 576
b = sqrt 576
b = 24
perimeter is : a + b + c
p = 32 + 24 + 40 = 96 m <===
