I believe it's A.
The definition of a compound is "a substance formed when two or more chemical elements are chemically bonded together".

A, a compound is a substance formed from the bond of two or more atoms. Acids and bases are compounds on a certain level on the pH scale, and an elixir is literally a magic potion.
