Munsons sporting goods purchases bowling balls from the manufacture for a whole sale price of $65 each.The retail price of the bowling balls reflect a 60% increase over the whole sale price. What is the retail price of a bowling ball?

Some price
p was increased by 60% to get $65.

So we get

p+p*(60)/(100)=65

1.6p=65

p=40.625

which rounds to $40.63 as the retail price.
