Solved for X

2x+5y
=2
Step 1: Add -5y to both sides.2x+5y+5y=2+5y2x=5y+2Step 2: Divide both sides by 2.2x2=5y+22x=−52y+1Answer:x=−52y+1
Solved for Y

2x+5y=2Step 1: Add -2x to both sides.2x+5y+2x=2+2x5y=2x+2Step 2: Divide both sides by 5.5y5=2x+25y=−25x+25Answer:y=−25x+25

Solved for X

4x2y+20=0Step 1: Add -20 to both sides.4x2y+20+−20=0+−204x2y=−20Step 2: Add 2y to both sides.4x2y+2y=−20+2y4x=2y−20Step 3: Divide both sides by 4.4x4=2y−204x=12y−5Answer:x=12y5

Solved for Y

4x2y+20=0Step 1: Add -20 to both sides.4x2y+20+−20=0+−204x2y=−20Step 2: Add -4x to both sides.4x2y+4x=−20+4x2y=4x−20Step 3: Divide both sides by -2.2y−2=4x−20−2y=2x+10Answer:y=2x+10
