So the average will be the sum of all sales divided by the number of sales

First take the sum:
Sale 1 = $500
Sale 2 = $500
Sale 3 = $500
Sale 4 = $500
Sale 5 = $600
Sale 6 = $600
Sale 7 = $600
Sale 8 = $600
Sale 9 = $600
Sale 10 = $600
Total = $5,600
To simplify this you could also do
$500*4 + $600*6=$5,600

Second you divide the sum by the number of sales:
Sum = $5,600
Number of sales = 10
$5,600/10= $560

ANSWER:
$560 per sale

Amount of commission received by Steve for the first 4 sales of the month = $500
Amount of commission received by Steve for the next 6 sales of the month = $600
Amount of commission made by Steve
for the first 10 sales of the month = (500 + 600) dollars
= 1100 dollars
Average commission received by Steve per sale during the month = 1100/10 dollars
= 110 dollars
So the average commission received by Steve for a single sale during the month is $110. I hope the procedure is clear enough for you to understand. hope i helped
