Also, Jackie completes the job in 1 hour.

Jackie does in 1 hour = 1/1 = 1 full job

Now, they take x hours together to complete work

They do work in 1 hour together = 1/x

⇒Lydia completes in 1 hour + Jackie does in 1 hour = They do work in 1 hour together

⇒1/2 + 1/1 = 1/x

⇒3/2 = 1/x
