For this question, you should draw out the 1/3 model. Then split each third into two. Next, you have to put that into two projects which in the end gives you 1/6.

Answer:

(1)/(6)

Explanation:

Given,

The original part of paint in the jar =
(1)/(3),

If this part is divided into two parts,

Then the part of paint in each project =
\frac{\text{Original part of paint}}{2}

=(1/3)/(2)

=(1)/(6)

By below model :

Take a grid having three boxes such that each box represents 1/3,

Divide one box into 2 parts,

This part is 1/6th of the whole grid.
