To multiply two positive numbers, you get a positive answer.
To multiply two negative numbers, you get a positive answer.
If you multiply negative by positive, you get a negative.
If you multiply positive by negative, you get a negative.
And yes, that is spelled correctly.

Yes it it spelled correctly.
To multiply or divide signed integers, always multiply or divide the absolute values and use these rules to determine the sign of the answer:
1. The product of two positive integers or two negative integers is positive.
2. The product of a positive integer and a negative integer is negative.
