KE = 1/2mv^2
=1/2(200)(4)^2
=100(16)
= 1600 J

Answer:

The Kinetic Energy of the given object of mass 200 kg, traveling at 4 m/s is found to be 1600 J (OR) 1.6 KJ.

Step-by-step explanation:

The generalized formula to find the Kinetic Energy of a body, that is in motion, is as follows:

Kinetic Energy = K.E = (1/2)mv² _____________ eqn (1)

where,

m = mass of the object = 200 kg

v = speed of the object = 4 m/s

therefore, substituting these values, in eqn (1), we find the kinetic energy of the given object, as follows:

eqn (1) =>

K.E = (1/2)(200 kg)(4 m/s)²

K.E = 1600 J

OR

K.E = (1600 J)(1 KJ/1000 J)

K.E = 1.6 KJ
