In the solution of the equation 5 minus 3X equals 2X +9, 3X is added to the equation 1st. Which of the following should be done next? Add -9, add -5, Add -2X

well it should be add -9

5-3x=2x+9

+3x=+3x

5=5x+9

+-9 +-9

-4=5x

x=4/5

You could do any of those, but I would do Add -9 then the equation is -4=5x then divide everything by 5 then x = -.8
