As you can see, the fraction 3/8 is multiplying 3 times by itself. Then we can write:

(3)/(8)\cdot(3)/(8)\cdot(3)/(8)=\mleft((3)/(8)\mright)^3

And since it is a fraction, we can use the Power of a Quotient Property.

\mleft((a)/(b)\mright)^m=(a^m)/(b^m)\Rightarrow\text{ Power of a Quotient Property}

So, we can also write:

\mleft((3)/(8)\mright)^3=(3^3)/(8^3)

Therefore, if we write the given expression using exponents, we have:

\boldsymbol{(3)/(8)*(3)/(8)*(3)/(8)=}\mleft(\boldsymbol{(3)/(8)}\mright)^{\boldsymbol{3}}\boldsymbol{=(3^3)/(8^3)}
