2x-11=k

First, you add 11 to the other side of the equals sign. So it would be 2x=k+11. Now, you divide 2 from x and do the same on the other side of the equals sign. so now it would be x=
(k+11)/(2)

Answer:

x=(k+11)/(2)

Explanation:

The given equation is :

2x-11=k .[ with x term 11 is subtracted ,so we perform the opposite operation that is add 11 both sides]

To isolate the x term we add 11 both sides.

2x-11+11=k+11.

2x=k+11

With x 2 is multiplied ,opposite of multiplication is division.

Dividing both sides by 2 we have :

x=(k+11)/(2)
