In a dihybrid cross, round (RR), yellow (YY) seeds were crossed with wrinkled (rr), green (yy) seeds. What were the phenotypes of the F1 generation?

They would all be Heterozygous dominant in the first generations Rr (round) and Yy (Yellow)!

Hope that helped!

Answer:

The phenotype would be (RrYy) 16:0 . All would be Round and yellow.

Step-by-step explanation:

When there is a cross between : RRYY * rryy

we get four gametes from each which are : RY RY RY RY ry ry ry ry

On drawing the punette square we get 16 offsprings which are all heterozygous dominant and have a phenotype of 16( round and green): 0

Below there is punette square diagram for the same.

Hope it helps!
