Step-by-step explanation:

According to the periodic law, elements in a periodic table are arranged according to increasing atomic number and due to this the physical and chemical properties of the elements occur in a systematic order.

For example, elements present in a group will always show similar chemical properties because they tend to have same number of valence electrons.

After a fixed interval there will occur a repetition of properties.
