Write an equation of the line that passes through the given point and is parallel to the given line

(-10,0) , -y+3x= 16

NOTE: This is an y=mx+b problem. The x is the same in a parallel problem!

First, the standard form of the equation needs to be converted into y=mx+b form. From there you create a new equation with the same slope (m value) and an unknown b value. Then, substitute the x and y coordinated into the new equation and solve for b. Once you get the b, that is the last missing part of your equation and it is now complete.
