You get the perimeter by adding all four sides. We know the perimeter equals 72 feet.
P equals 72 feet.
Shortside equals 16.
feet.

4 side = 72 ft
2 of the sides = 16 ft
16 x 2 = 32
72 - 32 = 40
40 / 2 = 20
