A right rectangular prism looks like a rectangular shoe box. It has 6 faces, all of which are rectangles. The formula for its volume is

V = whl, where w=width, h=height and l=length

From the statement of the problem:

h = 3w
l = 2w

Since all are in terms of w already, the volume could be expressed as a function of the width.

V = w × 3w × 2w

V=6 w^(3)
