What is it called when a person accused of a federal crime is held in jail without the option of paying for temporary release?

The term used when describing a person who is accused of federal crime in which held in jail and that there is no available option in paying temporary release is the preventative detention. This is being defined as a way of preventing an imprisoned person from having to commit any offenses.

I believe the answer is: preventative detention


In preventative detention, we directly incarcerate a certain individual before trial because we inherently believe that releasing that individual would be in society's best interest. This type of detention is usually made for highly dangerous criminals (such as drug lords, mass murderer, etc)
