#1 Guest You need to figure out what the actual rates in gph are gph = gallons per hour = gals/hours The FIRST tank rate is what? (5/8 gallons)/ ( 7/10 Hours) Clear? (5/8)/(7/10) gals/hour = ? 5/8 x 10/7 =50/56= .892857 gph Now do the same for the SECOND tank and see which one is greater! Second tank (5/9)/(2/3) = 5/9 x 3/2 = 15/18= .83333 gph Now ...Which one is greater (faster)?
