Loss of habitat for the surrounding wildlife. therefore a long term affect of the wildlife that lived there. If deforestation continues the forest and its inhabitants with either have to relocate or die trying to find a new place to live.

Answer:

Desertification of those areas

Step-by-step explanation:

Desertification of an area occurs when a dry land becomes more dry and arid due to the loss of vegetation.

Desertification can be caused either by natural causes such as climate change or by human causes.

Some of the human causes of desertification includes: overgrazing of the farmland, deforestation, bad irrigation practices, logging e.t.c.

Desertification cause the land to become unfertile and results in the loss of wildlife.
