If h(a)= 3a+5 and h (a) = 27 the what is the value of a?

Answer: 22/3 or 7,(3)

Solution:

h(a)=3a+5

h(a)=27

3a+5=27

3a=27-5

3a=22

a=22/3

a=7,(3)

h(27) = 3(27) + 5

Now you solve on the right side of the equal sign:
