3. It keeps everything stuck down onto it’s surface.

It prevents the planet from disintegrating due to centrifugal force.

It keeps the atmosphere from drifting away.

If keeps the planet in orbit around the sun - and without it, we’d head out into deep space.

It causes the tides.

It allows satellites to orbit.

It is why the Earth is here in the first place - and not just a cloud of diffuse dust and gas.

It is why there is anything interesting in the universe at all! Without gravity, there would be no moon, no stars, no galaxies. Without it, the universe would be an exceedingly cold, and very boring place.

It is why hot air balloons can fly (you kinda think of them as defying gravity - but they actually fly BECAUSE of gravity!)

4. Water moving across the earth in streams and rivers pushes along soil and breaks down pieces of rock in a process called erosion. The moving water carries away rock and soil from some areas and deposits them in other areas, creating new landforms or changing the course of a stream or river.

Answer:

1.Gravitational force on the Earth cause objects to accelerate when they fall. The Earth’s gravity produces the same amount of acceleration on all objects, and they gain velocity at the same rate. 2. Rivers and streams have a great impact on both the local landscape and our own lives. Flowing water continually erodes the land it runs through, and over millions of years the topography of the land can be greatly changed.
